New jailing technologies reported at officeholders meeting

The Nodaway County Commissioners and county officeholders heard about efforts to implement new video equipment in both the jail and courthouse among other things at its meeting July 12. Soybean scouting demonstration set

On Friday, July 20 an event will be held near Maryville for all growers interested in soybean disease scouting. Farmers, county explore options to battle dry weather

With the ongoing drought plaguing Northwest Missouri farmland, producers find themselves scrambling to combat depleted water and feed sources for livestock. Fortunately for area farmers, Nodaway County has already been approved for one drought response program and administrators at the Nodaway County Farm Service Agency (FSA) are hopeful at least one more will be approved.

Northwest announces suspension of Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity

Northwest Missouri State University has suspended its Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity chapter for a period of two years, citing violations of the University’s policies against hazing and alcohol, among other risk management violations.
