Maryville handles Northeast Nodaway in baseball action

AL Auxiliary sponsors pitch night

The Rolla Dicks American Legion Auxiliary is holding a pitch night starting at 6 pm, Saturday, April 1 at the legion building, Burlington Jct. Pitch buy-in is $10 a person, play will be progressive style – 10 games, four hands each. Concession stand is available. Proceeds support veterans and other projects sponsored by the auxiliary.

Annual hog roast presented by Parnell Fire

The Parnell Fire Volunteers are having their annual hog roast from 5:30 to 8 pm, Saturday, April 1 at the Parnell Fire House 102 North Main, Parnell. It is a freewill donation for roasted hog, baked potato, salads, baked beans, dessert and beverage.

Bobbie Allen, 87, Grant City, died Sunday, March 26, 2023, at Mosaic Life Care – St. Joseph. He was born October 27, 1935, near Sheridan, to John Edwin and Mary Catherine Booher Allen.
