On December 3, the St. Francis Foundation (SFF) hosted its annual Giving Tuesday Souper Bonanza event at A&G Restaurant in Maryville. For every Souper Bonanza purchased this year, one-dollar was donated by the 27 sponsors to the St. Francis Foundation Cancer Care Patient Assistance Fund. Together, nearly $10,000 was raised for local cancer care patients.
On November 20, Jefferson National Honor Society helped the school observe a combination Veterans Day and Thanksgiving for area veterans. After the Thanksgiving lunch, grades three to eighth sang songs and high school students made speaking presentations.

He was a graduate of Fairfax High School. On October 31, 2011, he married Mary Katherine Weir Harr in Maryville. Mr. Wiley was a manager for LMP.

Henry A. Masten, 99, Maryville, died Saturday, November 30, 2024, at Village Care Center. He was born April 9, 1925, in Walthill, NE, to Marvin J. and Marie L. Poellet Masten. He was a 1942 graduate of Walthill High School and served in the United States Navy during World War II as a flight engineer
Robert Randal “Randy” Jackson, 69, Grant City, died Friday, November 29, 2024. He was born October 26, 1955, in Maryville, to Francis and Darlene Wyatt Jackson. He was raised in Ravenwood and graduated from Ravenwood High School, class of 1973. On April 10, 1976, he married Sharon Kay Messner, in Maryville. They had one daughter.
