Mosaic Medical Center – Maryville’s first baby of the new year arrived at 5:34 am, Tuesday, January 3. Dutton was welcomed into the arms of his mother, Dayna Rowen of Sheridan. Presiding Commissioner Bill Walker called the meeting of the Nodaway County Commission to order 3 at the Commissioner’s Office. In attendance: Walker, Scott Walk, associate commissioner and Melinda Patton, county clerk. Walk made a motion to approve the agenda as presented. The motion passed. Drexal “Butch” Dean Cordell, 73, Social Circle, GA, died Sunday, December 15, 2022, at his home. He was born July 30, 1949, in Maryville, to John Cordell and Ruth Hart Wright. He was a graduate of Hopkins High School. He married Jean Cooper Cordell. Services were held Tuesday, December 20 at Chapel of Meadows Funeral
