Maryville council moves forward with Façade Improvement Grant Program

The Maryville City Council authorized the creation of a $200,000 Façade Improvement Grant Program and adopted guidelines during its February 14 meeting. The matching grant program will assist business and property owners with the design and construction of façade enhancements which are historically appropriate or add to the character of the community as a whole.

Ambulance board approves payment into retirement obligations

The Nodaway County Ambulance District Board voted to pay on the unfunded obligations to LAGERS, the Missouri Local Government Employees Retirement System, during its February 9 meeting. Cooper Lynn takes 1st at Nodaway County Spelling Bee

On February 10, five schools sent a total of 10 students to the finals of the Nodaway County Spelling Bee held at West Nodaway. First alternate was Horace Mann sixth grader Joey Kessler.
