Library hosts ‘Blind Date with a Book’

The Maryville Public Library is hosting a blind date with a book beginning Monday, October 22 in the library adult section. There are a 100 wrapped books from a variety of genres. Must have an active library card. The library, 509 North Main, stated youth 13 and older are welcomed with an adult.

FUMC offers ‘Hot Dogs for Hot Dogs’

The Maryville First United Methodist Church is having “Hot Dogs for Hot Dogs” from 5 to 6 pm, Sunday, October 20 at the FUMC gazebo. Dogs can be dressed up. There will be hot dogs to eat and three categories in the dog contest. Winners and blessings of dogs are announced at 5:45 pm.

AL prepares breakfast in Maitland

The Maitland Graham American Legion Breakfast will be from 7 to 10 am, Saturday, October 19 at Post 256 in Maitland. It is a freewill donation with the proceeds going toward the fundraiser for Rylan Murphy.
