A get-together is planned for 6:30 pm, Monday, November 6 for those interested in discussing the restart of the Barnard Community Betterment Club in the Barnard Methodist Church basement. Everyone is welcome, participants do not need to live in Barnard.
The Pickering Lions Club is holding a ham and turkey dinner from 11 am to 1:30 pm, Sunday, November 5 at the Pickering Community building. The freewill donation dinner has ham, turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, corn, dressing, rolls and desserts. Proceeds will go toward community projects.
American Legion Post 100 and Scout Troops 190 and 74 will serve breakfast from 8 am to noon, Sunday, November 5 at the post, 1104 East Fifth Street, Maryville. The menu includes biscuits and gravy, pancakes, eggs, sausage, hash browns, orange juice and coffee. Cost is $9 for adults; ages six and under are $5.

The Maryville Rotary Club is sponsoring a Pickleball tourney to benefit the eradication of polio from the planet.
