American Legion Post 100 and Scout Troops 190 and 74 will serve breakfast from 8 am to noon, Sunday, April 7 at the post, 1104 East Fifth Street, Maryville. Adults are $9; children six and under are $5. Proceeds go to support veterans and Scout programs.
NW’s natural sciences department hosting viewing opportunity during April 8 solar eclipse
Northwest Missouri State University’s Department of Natural Sciences will host an observation of this spring’s solar eclipse, giving the local community a unique opportunity to view the moon passing in front of the sun. Parnell Fire holds annual hog roast
The Parnell Fire Volunteers are holding the annual hog roast from 5:30 to 8 pm, Saturday, April 6 at the Parnell Fire House, 102 North Main, Parnell. It is a freewill donation for the whole family. Menu includes roasted hog, baked potato, salads, baked beans, dessert and beverages.
Museum reopens for season
