Wilcox UMC presents Lord’s Acre Day

The Lord’s Acre Day will begin with an auction at 10:30 am and dinner at 11:30 am, Saturday, October 7 at the Wilcox United Methodist Church. The freewill donation meal will have turkey, noodles, dressing, ham, salads and pie. There will be produce, crafts and baked goods at the auction.

Pickering fund raises with fish fry

There will be a fish fry from 11 am to 1 pm, Sunday, October 8 at the Pickering Community Building. The menu consists of white pollack fillets, baked potatoes, cole slaw, green beans, homemade pie, coffee and ice tea. Cost is $10 for adults; $5 for ages five to eight; and under five is free.

Toys for Tots begins collection

Today’s Civic Women (TCW) announced the beginning of the 39th Annual Toys for Tots of Nodaway County campaign. The goal of the program is to ensure children ages newborn to 12-years old have something under the Christmas tree. Toys For Tots of Nodaway County is one of TCW’s main service projects.
