Presiding Commissioner Bill Walker called the meeting of the Nodaway County Commission to order at the commissioner’s office. In attendance: Walker and Chris Burns, associate commissioner; and Melinda Patton, county clerk. Burns made a motion to approve the agenda as presented. The motion passed. Burns made a motion to approve prior commission minutes dated 6/21/22.

The Nodaway County Health Center Board of Trustees met June 15. After two years of pandemic response due to COVID-19, the health center is finally getting back to its regular programs and activities. The Nodaway County Historical Society will hold its annual meeting beginning at 5:30 pm, Monday, June 27 at the museum, 110 North Walnut, Maryville. The meeting is open to all members. There will be voting on new board members, taking suggestions for upcoming programs, announcing the Stairway of Stars addition, and celebration of members and volunteers.
Skidmore Community Betterment is hosting “Movie at the Park” dinner and Kool Kats starts at 7 pm, the family friendly movie will start at 8 pm, Sunday, June 26. Hotdogs, chips and water are free. Kool Kats will be available for purchase. Bring chairs or blankets.
