Maryville R-II hires new superintendent

The Maryville R-II Board of Education has hired Dr. Logan Lightfoot as superintendent to replace Dr. Becky Albrecht who is retiring at the end of the school year. COVID-19 cases rise in Nodaway County

Numbers from the Nodaway County Health Department’s daily COVID-19 report for December 6 indicated 20 people residing in the county tested positive on that day for the novel coronavirus. Maryville’s Christmas Parade brings holiday spirit to downtown

The Maryville Downtown Improvement Organization sponsored this year’s annual Christmas Parade on December 3.  Among the floats and entries was this sprayer. Even though the outdoor temperature during the parade was not even close to snow degrees, this agricultural sprayer provided the parade route with some white, fluffy stuff to resemble snowflakes.
