Depot Museum hosts open house in Skidmore

Northeast Nodaway is teaming up with Mosaic Medical Center to host a suicide prevention walk after the JV softball game vs. Platte Valley, Thursday, September 22. The “Be the Light” walk in honor of National Suicide Prevention Month will have fans and players walking a lap with flashlights provided by Mosaic.
A fish and chicken fry will be held 11 am to 1:30 pm, Sunday, September 18 at the United Methodist Church, 415 South Main Street, Parnell. The menu includes white pollock fish, deep fried chicken, baked potatoes, cole slaw, baked beans, corn, green beans, hot rolls, desserts and drink. This is a freewill offering. The
American Legion Post 464 will hold a pancake breakfast from 7 to 11 am, Sunday, September 18. The menu is pancakes, sausage, eggs, biscuits and gravy, juice and coffee. Cost is $8 donation minimum per person. Children six and under are free. Proceeds will go to the Sons of the American Legion Squadron 464. Information
Music Off Main will be from 5 to 7:30 pm, Saturday, September 17 at the Downtown Pocket Park, Third and Main streets, Maryville. Music is by Royce Johns and there will be yard games. Bring lawn chairs.
The Shine and Dine Fish Fry will be from 4 to 7 pm, Saturday, September 17 at the Open Door Christian Center, 400 Seventh Street, Bolckow. The free family event will feature Show and Shine classic cars and antique tractors.

The Second Harvest Community Food Bank Fresh Mobile Pantry will begin at 10 am, Tuesday, September 13 on Fourth Street in Barnard. The mobile food pantry will continue while supplies last and is open to the public.
