The Nodaway County Republican Women’s and Men’s Committee will meet at 11:30 am, Thursday, September 2 at Pizza Ranch, Maryville. Mosaic Medical Center – Maryville President Nate Blackford will be the guest speaker.

The Nodaway County Association of Retired School Employees will resume their monthly meetings at 9 am, Thursday, September 2 at the Nodaway County Senior Center, Maryville. The program is “Be the Change” presented by Eric Glenn.

The Maryville Spoofhound Booster Athletic Club is hosting the 2021 Community Pep Rally at 6:30 pm, Thursday, August 26 on the Downtown Square. The Community Pep Rally will kick-off the upcoming school year. Spoofhound fans can expect to see their favorite teams and players announced at the rally, and are encouraged to come and cheer
The Second Harvest Community Food Bank Fresh Mobile Pantry will be from 10 am to noon or while supplies last, Thursday, August 26 at the Skidmore Wildcat City Park at 100 Adams Street, Skidmore. This program is open to the general public. There are no income guidelines to utilize this program.
The Ravenwood Community Breakfast will be held from 8 am to noon, Sunday, August 22 at the Ravenwood Community Center. The all-you-can-eat breakfast of eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, biscuits and gravy and pancakes. The cost is $8 for adults and $6 for children.
The Nodaway Valley Thunder fall sports teams will hold a meet and greet, along with a tailgate meal beginning at 6 pm, Saturday, August 21 at the Skidmore Wildcat Park. The team members, coaches and sponsors of the Nodaway-Holt and West Nodaway athletic co-op, will be there.
The Maryville Garden Club will hold its annual fall plant and bake sale from at 7 to 11 am, Saturday, August 21 at the Nodaway County Senior Center, 1210 East First Street, Maryville. It features locally grown iris, daylilies and other perennials.
