Museum celebrates historical figure’s birthday

The Nodaway County Historical Society will celebrate Mary Graham’s 200th birthday at 2 pm, Saturday, September 4 at the museum, 110 North Walnut, Maryville. Graham is the namesake of two Nodaway County communities, Maryville and Graham. There will be cake and a short presentation.

Thunder prepares to rumble through fall season

The new athletic cooperative of Nodaway-Holt and West Nodaway presented a community tailgate at Skidmore Wildcat park, August 21. The Nodaway Valley Thunder attracted an estimated 500 people to welcome the teams. Head Coach Alan Calfee introduces the Nodaway Valley Thunder Football team. There are 34 athletes on the high school team.
