The American Legion Post 100 held the annual ceremony on November 11. After the ceremony, a free ham and bean lunch was served for those in attendance. 1SG Rob McKinney was the guest speaker. McKinney shared stories of his time as a recruiter, and was recognized as the top recruiter in the state in 2003.
The second annual Downtown Turkey Trot in Maryville will get underway at 8 am, Thursday, Thanksgiving, November 23 at the corner of Fourth and Buchanan Streets.
