Skidmore, once again, has a food pantry thanks to the assistance of Second Harvest Community Food Bank. The Temporary Emergency Food Assistance Program will be in Newton Hall in Skidmore the Monday and Tuesday after the fourth Friday of each month. Vehicles need to line up on the street. There will be a freewill donation breakfast from 8 am to noon, Sunday, September 4 at the Parnell American Legion Post 528. The menu includes pancakes, biscuits and gravy, eggs made to order, bacon, sausage, coffee and orange juice.

The Clearmont Little Red Schoolhouse receives a new roof with volunteers working for two days. The Clearmont Christian Church was the organizer of the facility improvements with the church providing funds, volunteers to work on the roof, on the ground and serving lunch. The Graham Street Fair’s “Field of Dreams” parade was well attended, August 27. Little Mr. and Miss Graham rode in style to wave at the spectators lining the parade path.
