The Graham Lions Club is sponsoring the 2018 Tractor and Truck Pull beginning at 6:30 pm, Saturday, September 8 at the Dakota Bronc Sisk Memorial Arena, three miles west of US Highway 71 on Highway A. Concessions are on the grounds. Adults are $10, ages six to 12 are $5 and children five and under
The Elmo Fish Fry is from 5 to 7 pm, Saturday, September 8 at the Elmo Community Building. Besides fish, there will be fried chicken, potatoes, salads and drink. Cost is $9; children 12 and under are $5. Proceeds go toward community service projects and is sponsored by the Elmo Community Betterment.
The Hopkins Lions Club is holding the annual fish fry fundraiser from 4:30 to 7 pm, Saturday, September 8 at the Hopkins Community Building. Adults are $8 and children 11 and under are $4. Proceeds will go to the Lions community administrative fund.
Garry Allen Nuckolls, 75, Maryville, died Monday, September 3, 2018, at SSM Health – St. Francis Hospital, Maryville. Roger Huntley Ford, 71, Mission, KS, died Friday, August 24, 2018, at the Kansas City Hospice House. Services were held August 30 at Park Cemetery, Carthage.
