Eagles Auxiliary donate to Senior Center

The Nodaway County Senior Center, 1210 East First, Maryville, recently received a $1,000 donation from the Eagles Aerie #3669 Auxiliary for shelving in the new walk-in freezer. Library spreads Christmas spirit

The Maryville Public Library, 509 North Main Street, has been spreading Christmas cheer with craft projects for adults. On December 3, the library held Santa’s Paintshop were patrons created wood slice ornaments. The craft project was arranged by Librarian Wilma Wake. Child advocacy center closes

Northwest Child Advocacy Center Director Jackie Cochenour and Sheriff Randy Strong met with the County Commission to review the wrap-up of the one-year services of the center earlier this fall. Cochenour and Strong discussed with the commission the three grants which Cochenour had applied for that were denied. So the center was forced to close.
