UMC holds bake sale in BJ
The Burlington Jct. United Methodist Church will hold a bake sale from 8 am to noon, Saturday, May 13 at the church located at 222 North Clarinda Street in BJ.

Breaded tenderloin sandwiches will be featured from 5 to 7 pm, Friday, May 12 at the American Legion in Burlington Jct. The menu will also include potato wedges, dessert and drink. USPS letter carriers sponsor food drive May 13
This year marks the 33rd anniversary for the annual food drive for the United States Postal Service. Local post office employees are gearing up for the event on Saturday, May 13. On that day, carriers will pick up any non-perishable food that is left by the mailbox. All donations will be used locally to help
Reservations being accepted for NN Alumni Banquet
The North Nodaway R-VI Alumni Banquet will be held at 6:30 pm, Saturday, May 27 at the High School gymnasium, Hopkins. Cost is $17 per person with alumni paying an additional $2 for dues. Fresh Mobile Pantry comes to Barnard
The Second Harvest Community Food Bank will run a fresh mobile pantry beginning at 10 am and will last until supplies are gone, Tuesday, May 9, on Fourth Street, Barnard. This is open to the general public.

Nodaway Chorale presents spring concert
“Cinemagic: Music from the Movies” will be performed at 4 pm, Sunday, May 7 at the Schneider Performing Arts Center, Maryville High School, 1501. South Munn Street, Maryville. The Nodaway Chorale will be joined by guest performers, Maryville Middle School Show Choirs directed by Lauren Carr. Admission is free, donations are welcome at the concert.
