Maitland Graham American Legion Post 256, Maitland will serve breakfast from 6 to 10 am, Saturday, October 28. Cost is $10 per person; $5 for 12 and younger. Menu includes sausage, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, eggs, homemade cinnamon rolls, coffee and orange juice. Proceeds will go toward building maintenance.

“The Murder of Doc Talbott” will be presented at 7 pm, Friday, October 27 at the Nodaway County Historical Society Museum, 110 North Walnut Street, Maryville. It’s an opportunity to learn about the 1880 murder and notorious trial and enjoy a bloody mary bar. It is free admission and donations are welcome.
Memory Café will be at 10 to 11:15 am, Friday, October 27 in the Gathering Space at the First United Methodist Church, 102 North Main Street, Maryville. The classic fairytale “The Frog Prince” is set to play at Northwest Missouri State University this month – with a twist. Kansas City’s StoneLion Puppet Theatre will present “The Frog Prints,” a funny and poignant musical, at 6 pm, Monday, October 23, in the Studio Theater at the Ron Houston Center for the Performing Arts.
Dr. Frank Turek of Cross Examined.org will present on the topic “If God, Why Evil?” at 7 pm, Monday, October 23 at the Charles Johnson Theater, Northwest Missouri State University Fine Arts Building. This is hosted by Northwest campus ministries with support from several community churches. It is open to the public.

The 28th annual Downtown Maryville Trick or Treat event will be from 5 to 6:30 pm, Monday, October 30 in Downtown Maryville. This year the event is being sponsored by the Maryville Pride Lions Club. There are a total of 77 participants who are welcoming families to receive goodies. Participating “treaters” off the square are:
