The Crosswinds Chapter of the Christian Motorcycle Association will meet at 7 pm, Monday, September 18, at Pizza Hut, 732 South Main Street, Maryville. All interested individuals are invited to attend.

The Maitland-Graham American Legion Post 256 will serve a fried chicken dinner from 4:30 to 7:30 pm, Saturday, September 16 at the Maitland Legion building, 201 North Second Street. Menu is fried chicken, potatoes, salads, desserts and drink. Cost is $10 for adults; $3 for children five and under.

The Maryville Farmers Market starts winding down season. The market is from 7:30 am to noon or when vendors sell out, Saturdays, September 16, 23, and 30, in the parking lot at Fourth and Buchanan Streets, Maryville.
Veterans Administration Representative Patrick Godfrey will be available to talk to disabled veterans from 10 am to 5 pm, Tuesday, September 12 at the Nodaway County Courthouse, Maryville. Godfrey will be in a VA van and will speak to any veteran with questions.
