American Legion Post 464 will sponsor a pancake breakfast from 7 to 11 am, Sunday, October 15 at the legion post, Conception Jct. Pancakes, sausage, eggs, biscuits and gravy, juice and coffee will be served. Cost is a $7 minimum donation per person; children six and under are free. Proceeds benefit various veterans programs.
The Elmo Fish Fry is from 5 to 7 pm, Saturday, October 14 at the Elmo Community Building. In addition to fish, there will be fried chicken, jacket fries, lettuce salad, coleslaw and baked beans. Cost is $9. Proceeds go toward the Elmo 4th of July event sponsored by Elmo Community Betterment.
The library in Newton Hall, Skidmore, will be open from 10 to 11 am, Saturdays, October 14 and October 28.
The Burlington Jct. American Legion Auxiliary will hold a potato bar with all the fixings, homemade salads, desserts and a drink from 5 to 7 pm, Friday, October 13 at the AL building in BJ. Cost is $7 for adults; ages 10 and under are free.
The Maryville Public Library is holding a fall book sale now through Monday, October 16. Hours are 9 am to 6 pm, October 12, 13 and 16, and 9 am to 3 pm, Saturday, October 14. On October 14, books will be $5 a sack; on October 16, the remaining books are free. The Maryville
The Ravenwood United Methodist Church will hold its annual fall supper from 5 to 7 pm, Friday, October 13 in the church fellowship hall. The free-will donation supper will include roast beef, pork loin, pulled pork, cheesy potatoes, green beans, numerous salads, hot rolls, desserts and drinks.
Memory Cafe will be held from 10 to 11 am, Thursday, October 12 at the First United Methodist Church, 102 North Main Street, Maryville.
