Women’s Beach Volleyball Player Origins, 2024 volleyball is the 90th and newest NCAA sport. The 8th National Championship was played last weekend in Gulf Shores, AL. The USC Trojans won their sixth title. The per capita production of NCAA beach volleyball players is greater in coastal states and the Midwest. Arizona leads followed by Hawaii, Nebraska, Colorado
The annual Mother’s Day Breakfast will be from 7 to 11 am, Sunday, May 12 at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 509 Clark Street, Conception Jct. The freewill donation breakfast menu is biscuits and gravy, hash browns, sausage, ham, eggs, toast, fruit, coffee and juice.
The Elmo Fish Fry will be from 5 to 7 pm, Saturday, May 11 at the Community Building. The menu is fried fish, chicken, potatoes, salads and a drink. There is indoor seating or carryout. Cost for ages 12 and up is $13; children 11 and under are $6. Money raised goes to community service
