The Northwest Missouri State University Police Department, during the institution’s fall All-Employee Meeting August 16, recognized two community members with its Monica C. McCollough University Police Department Service Award and Raymond L. Ottman University Police Department Community Service Award. The Busy Farmer Food Market will be from 8 am to 6:30 pm, Saturday, August 26 in Hopkins. Presented by the Hopkins Community Betterment there will be beef, pork, fresh fruits and vegetables for sale. Credit/debit cards, cash and EBT cards are accepted.
The Ministry Center and Clothing Room would welcome donations of new or gently used backpacks to put out for back-to-school days. They are also in need of children’s books. Donations can be put in the south side drop box at any time.
