Want some free fun that gets family and friends outside in nature? Get hooked on fishing with the Missouri Department of Conservation’s (MDC) Free Fishing Days June 10 and 11. During Free Fishing Days, anyone may fish in the Show-Me State without having to buy a fishing permit, trout permit or trout park daily tag.

Several cemeteries in Nodaway County experienced a Memorial Day ceremony provided by Tri-C Memorial American Legion Post 464 members on May 28.
David R. Bell, 76, died Monday, May 29, 2023. He graduated from Northwest Missouri State University, Maryville. Mr. Bell served his country as a Navy corpsman during the Vietnam War. There are no services planned at Mr. Bell’s request. A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
