The food pantry will be open from 4 to 6 pm, Monday, September 26 and Tuesday, September 27 at Newton Hall, Skidmore. Line up coming down the street. Participants will have to go in to sign up but there are no income restrictions. The food pantry is open to residents in the Nodaway-Holt school district

Community breakfast is in Ravenwood

The Ravenwood Community Breakfast will be from 8 am to noon, Sunday, September 25 at the Ravenwood Community Center. The menu will include eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, biscuits and gravy, and pancakes. Adults are $10 and children are $5. Proceeds go toward the Northeast Nodaway Band and Color Guard.

City of Elmo holds Fall Breakfast

The City of Elmo is holding the fall breakfast from 7 to 11 am, Saturday, September 24 at the Elmo Community Center. The freewill donation breakfast will serve pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy, hash browns and fruit. Proceeds will be used to maintain the city streets and the new water tower.

TCW collects children’s hats, gloves

Today’s Civic Women is collecting hats and gloves for children from Monday, September 26 through Friday, October 21. The organization is asking people to recycle gently used children’s hats and gloves in sizes four to nine, gender-neutral colors. New items are also accepted. The hats and gloves will be distributed in Eugene Field Elementary School
