The Parnell American Legion Post 528 will hold a fundraiser pancake breakfast from 8 am to noon on Sunday, March 4 at the Legion Hall. Free will donation.
The Graham Lions Club will host an all-you-can-eat fish, mountain oysters and chicken fry from 4:30 to 7 pm on Saturday, March 3 at the Graham Community Building. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children.
Northeast Nodaway PTO is sponsoring a rummage sale from 7 am to 2 pm, Saturday, March 3 in the old gym at the school. Entrance to the sale is through the north door. There will be no early bird sales.
On February 3, the Northeast Nodaway Science Olympiad team competed at the regional science olympiad at North Central Missouri Community College in Trenton. The team competed in 23 events and placed in the top five in 18 of the events, allowing the team to advance to state in April. NEN students finishing in fifth place
Four Maryville High School wrestlers competed at the Class 2 MSHSAA state tournament February 15 and 16 in Columbia. Senior Jackson Sanders had the best showing for the Spoofhounds, making it to the final eight in the 170 weight class, with two wins and two losses. District tournament play on February 21 saw the Jefferson Eagles Boys Basketball team dominate the West Nodaway Rockets. Final score was 84-44. Clayton Merrigan goes up strong during the Eagle win.
