Memory Cafe will be held from 10 to 11 am, Thursday, May 10 at the First United Methodist Church, 102 North Main Street, Maryville. The Clearmont Alumni reunion will begin at 12:30 pm, Saturday, May 26 at the Little Red School House, Clearmont. All former students and teachers are welcome. A catered dinner will be served. The Nodaway-Holt R-VII School Board elected a new president during its regular meeting April 18. The school board approved the official election results. Kelly O’Riley received 127 votes, Kenny Shewey received 213 votes and Joni Everhart received 208 votes. Shewey and Everhart were sworn in to service for the board of education. The school board
Nodaway County Health Center student employee Dana Otto received Student Employee of the Year for Initiative from Northwest Missouri State University. Otto, a senior dietetics major, has worked at the health center this school year. She plans to continue through the summer and until her graduation in December. She fits in work around her classes.
The Maryville R-II Board of Education reorganized the board during its regular meeting on April 16. The school board voted Josh McKim as the president and the Missouri School Board Association delegate for the 2017-2018 school year.
