Marvin Brown

Marvin Dale Brown, 73, Hopkins, died Friday, August 26, 2016, at his home.

He was born December 6, 1942, in Sheridan, to Ira N. and Edna V. Clark Brown. He was a graduate of Sheridan High School.

On October 11, 1963, he married Frances Steinman in Maryville.

Mr. Brown was a lifelong farmer.

He had been a member of the Sheridan Saddle Club and was a former board member of MFA livestock, MFA Oil, MFA Exchange and former member of the Independence Township Board.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, David Brown, Sr.

He is survived by his wife; children, Douglas Dale Brown, Sheridan, Steven Dale and Samantha Brown, Hopkins, and Patricia A. and Charles Johnson, Shambaugh, IA; seven grandchildren, Haldon and Jamie Fugate, Dale and Rachel Fultz Brown, Megan Fugate and Andrew, Saylor, Saryn and Stetsyn Brown; great-grandchild, Easton Fugate; sister-in-law, Virginia Brown, Ravenwood; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were Monday, August 29 at Price Funeral Home, Maryville, with burial at the Oak Hill Cemetery, Maryville.
