James Schieber

James Stephen Schieber, 65, Archie, died Saturday, August 27, 2016, in Stanberry.

He was born December 25, 1950, in Maryville, to Paul Andrew and Magdalene Dorothy Lager Schieber. He was a 1969 graduate of Jefferson High School, Conception Jct.

On August 31, 1974, he married Molly Grace Ellis in Conception Jct.

Mr. Schieber served in the Army. He was a crane operator for Doherty Steel, Paola, KS.

He was a member of St. Columba Catholic Church and the Tri-C American Legion Post 464, Conception Jct.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Paul Dean Schieber; and grandson, Dominick Andrews.

He is survived by his wife; daughter, Jamie and Chad Andrews, Archie; son, Josh and Karri Schieber, Stanberry; five grandchildren, Christian, Mollie and Lexie Andrews, Paxton and Kynnadi Schieber; seven brothers, Harry Schieber, Maryville, Jerry Schieber, Conception, Paul Schieber, Maryville, Tony Schieber, Iowa City, IA, Ray Schieber, Maryville, Kenny Schieber, Omaha, NE, and Dennis Schieber, Clyde; six sisters, Kate Henry, Conception Jct., Liz Effinger, St. Louis, Bernadette Meyer, Guilford, Patricia Schmitz and Marilyn Jermain, Conception Jct., and  Diane VanNordstrand, Council Bluffs, IA; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were Wednesday, August 31 at St. Columba Catholic Church, Conception Jct., with burial in St. Columba Cemetery, Conception.

Graveside military services were conducted by the Missouri Military Honors Team and the Tri-C American Legion Post 464.
