The West Nodaway FFA Breakfast will be from 8 am to noon, Sunday, December 2 at the Burlington Jct. American Legion. The menu for the free will donation breakfast is pancakes, biscuits and gravy, potatoes, bacon and scrambled eggs.
The Stanberry Light Night will be from 5 to 7 pm, Friday, November 30 at the Stanberry Community Center. The chili supper is a free will donation. The Alzheimer’s Caregiver Support Group will meet at 6 pm, Thursday, November 29 at the Nodaway County Senior Center, 1210 East First Street, Maryville. The topic will be winter safety tips. Caregivers around the area come together to provide support, become informed and find strength in numbers while progressing forward in dementia and Alzheimer’s awareness.
Paws at The Pub is a monthly social event to benefit the New Nodaway Humane Society. The Christmas event will be from 5 to 8 pm, Wednesday, November 28 at The Pub, 414 North Main Street, Maryville. This is a chance for pups and owners to meet in a friendly, relaxed setting while raising awareness

Fresh Mobile Food Pantry, sponsored by Second Harvest, is from 10 am to noon, Monday, November 19 at the Christian Church, 309 West Jefferson Street, Sheridan. It is open to the general public, while supplies last.
Now through December 30, the New Nodaway Humane Society Animal Shelter is offering half-price adoptions with the Home for the Holidays promotion. Dogs and kittens are $40 and cats are $30. The Community Thanksgiving Worship Service will be held at 7 pm, Thursday, November 15 at the St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church, 333 South Davis, Maryville. The service is sponsored by the Maryville Area Ministerial Fellowship. The service will be conducted by St. Gregory’s Fr. Albert Brueken, OSB and the First Christian Church’s Reverend Craig Kirby-Grove.
