The American Legion Fourth District will hold a meeting Sunday, December 8 at Post 315 in Burlington Jct. The meeting will begin at 1:30 pm with a meal that will be followed by the oratorical contest.

The Graham Lions Club will host an all-you-can-eat fish, mountain oysters and chicken fry from 4:30 to 7 pm, Saturday, December 7 at the Graham Community Building. The cost is $12 for adults and $5 for children.

The Maryville Public Library, 509 North Main Street, is sponsoring a Scholastic Book Fair featuring buy one, get one free items during regular library hours, Friday, December 6 to Tuesday, December 17. Proceeds to benefit the library.

The members of the West Nodaway FFA Chapter will be serving breakfast, 8 am to noon, Sunday, November 24 at the American Legion, Burlington Jct. The freewill donation will feature pancakes, biscuits and gravy, potatoes, bacon and scrambled eggs.

A Christmas Open House will be held from 9 am to 2 pm, Saturday, November 23 at Maryville Florists, 214 North Main Street, Maryville. Besides discounts and door prizes, the shop will feature Angie Cake samples and goodies to buy.

The Masons Lodge Nodaway #470 will meet at 7:30 pm, Monday, November 18 at the lodge in Maryville.
