Animal Shelter recognized for ‘no-kill’ status

The Best Friend Animal Society recognized the New Nodaway Humane Society Animal Shelter for being a No-Kill shelter in 2023. Shelters receiving the no-kill recognition award saved more than 90 percent of the dogs and cats in their care in calendar year 2023. In Missouri there are 123 no-kill shelters out of the 154 animal shelters in the state.
