Ben’s Stockings of Hope is asking for volunteers to join in a spring workday from 9 am to 3 pm, Saturday, April 6 at the Wesley Center, 549 West Fourth Street, Maryville.
Church offers growing older seminar
“Growing Older: Living Longer, Healthier and Happier” will be offered from 10 am to 3:30 pm, Saturday, April 6 at the First Christian Church, 201 West Third Street, Maryville. Graham Lions to sponsor Aldridge benefit
The Graham Lions Club will host an all-you-can-eat fish, mountain oysters and chicken fry from 4:30 to 7 pm, Saturday, April 6 at the Graham Community Building. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children. Proceeds from the fry and a silent auction will benefit Gerald Aldridge, who has been diagnosed with cancer.
Parnell AL to hold breakfast
The Parnell American Legion Post 528 will hold a fundraiser pancake breakfast from 8 am to noon, Sunday, April 7 at the Legion Hall. Free will donations accepted.
Nutrition site holds fundraiser
The Tri-City Friendship Center, Maitland, is sponsoring a potato bar with all the trimmings, homemade salads, pies and drink from 11 am to 1 pm, Sunday, April 7. Adults are $9 and children are $5. The proceeds will benefit the nutrition site serving senior citizens in the Graham, Maitland and Skidmore communities.

Library provides early childhood reading experience
The Maryville Public Library, 509 North Main Street, Maryville, will hold Book Nibblers from 9:45 to 10:15 am, Thursday, April 11.
