Ravenwood festival brings community together in spite of cloudy skies

Booster Club fund raises with hot dogs

The Northeast Nodaway Booster Club is hosting a free-will donation hamburger and hotdog supper from 5 to 7 pm, Tuesday, August 15 during the open house at the school. Chips, dessert and drinks are included and will be served outside at the school.

Fish Fry is set in Elmo

The Elmo Fish Fry is from 5 to 7 pm, Saturday, August 12 at the Elmo Community Building. In addition to fish there will be fried chicken, jacket fries, lettuce salad, coleslaw and baked beans. Cost is $9. Proceeds go toward the Elmo 4th of July celebration. The fry is sponsored by Elmo Community Betterment.

BJ AL holds spaghetti supper

The Burlington Jct. American Legion Auxiliary will hold a spaghetti supper from 5 to 7 pm, Friday, August 11 at the American Legion Building in Burlington Jct. The supper will feature spaghetti, salad, garlic bread, drink and dessert. Cost is $7 for adults; children 10 and under are free.
