The Fourth District American Legion meeting will be Sunday, March 11 at Tri-C Memorial Post 464 in Conception Jct. Four Chaplains’ Memorial Service and a meal will be at 1:30 pm. The meeting will follow.
The Pickering Lions Club’s rescheduled pancake day will be from 11 am to 1 pm, Sunday, March 11 at the Pickering Community Building. Pancakes and sausage will be served. Cost is $6 for adults, $3 for ages 11 and under. Proceeds support community projects.
Masons Lincoln Lodge 138 will hold a country fish fry from 5 to 7 pm, Saturday, March 10 at 153 East Main, Fillmore. The menu is Alaskan pollock fillets, coleslaw, hush puppies, French fries or baked potato, desserts and drink. Cost is $11; children seven and under are half price.
The Elmo Fish Fry is from 5 to 7 pm, Saturday, March 10 at the Elmo Community Building. In addition to fish there will be fried chicken, potatoes, salads and drink. The Skidmore Library will be open from 10 to 11 am, Saturdays, March 10 and 24 in Newton Hall.
A ham dinner will be held from 5 to 7 pm, Friday, March 9 at the American Legion in Burlington Jct. The menu will include ham and scalloped potatoes, vegetable, homemade rolls, desserts and a drink. Adults are $8; children 10 and under are free.
