The Maryville Spoofhound Football team got their first win of the season, beating Pleasant Hill 35-0 at the Hound Pound on September 6.

Coming off their week one loss against Blair Oaks, the Spoofhounds came out ready to kick start their season. Early in the first quarter, Junior Zac Voss recovered a fumble for the Spoofhounds, giving the offense great field position. Junior Sadler Viau then broke free for a 30-yard touchdown to give Maryville their first points of the game.

It was all Spoofhounds from there, as the defense kept the Roosters from putting together any sort of positive drive. Sophomore Luke Allen scored from 3 yards out to make it 14-0 in the second quarter. Senior Kole Zarbano had a huge impact on both sides of the ball, as he grabbed two interceptions late in the second quarter to set up two more scoring drives for Maryville, and they took a 28-0 lead into halftime.

The defense forced five turnovers on the night, and held Pleasant Hill to just 127 yards of total offense.
