Jeanette May Palmer, 84, Maryville, died Sunday, October 30, 2016, at her home.
She was born September 10, 1932, in Utica, MN, to Herbert and Vivian Treder.
At age 16, she married Dean Palmer. He preceded her in death after 64 years of marriage.
Mrs. Palmer worked as the bookkeeper of the family roofing business. While her children were in high school, she attended a beauty college and opened a hairdressing salon. She also co-owned a square dancing apparel shop in Cotati, CA, where she made clothing for men and women.
She was involved in the PTA, Little League and Scouting.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; infant son, George Leroy Palmer; and brothers, Raymond Treder and George Treder.
She is survived by her children, Deana and Jim Butler, Herb and Cindy Palmer, and Connie and Dennis Backman; grandchildren, Amber and Josh Crummey, Justin and Vanessa Armstrong, Dennis II and Jamie Backman, David Palmer, and Travis Butler; great-grandchildren, Johnnie Luke, Tyler Greene, Olivia Greene, Andaya Backman, Timberley Armstrong, Colton Crummey, Tameyra Armstrong, Rylee Crummey, Jordan Butler, Mylee Backman, Racyn Backman and Kruse Backman; siblings, Kenneth and Winnette Treder and Sharon Larsen; and nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 10 am, Saturday, November 12 at the home of Dennis and Connie Backman, 26992 Katydid Road, Maryville.
