The weather cooperated with mild temperatures and clear skies for the Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) Glow For Kids Sake 5K run/walk on August 27. Approximately 190 people participated beginning the run at SSM Health St. Francis Hospital, Maryville.

“This is a great family event which is why we do it,” Lynette Harbin, BBBS of Nodaway County director, said. Although pre-registration numbers were down from past years, Harbin credited the fair weather for the extra runners turning out before the start. She estimated the event will benefit the organization by $3,000 to $4,000.
