At the May 13 Skidmore City Council meeting, Nodaway-Holt Superintendent Jeff Blackford inquired as to Skidmore’s interest in having an electronic sign to inform the community about school events and activities. With the athletic cooperative between NH and West Nodaway, Blackford said more traffic would be traveling between the two schools on Highway 113.
On May 16, gray skies and rain showers didn’t dampen the spirits of the graduates at Jefferson, Maryville, North Nodaway and South Nodaway high schools.
The Northeast Nodaway School District presented 18 graduates with their diplomas the afternoon of May 9. Salutatorian Angela Standiford and Valedictorian Anne Schieber gave speeches during the ceremony.
