The Maryville Public Library announced the winners of the 2022 Children’s Art Contest. The children were asked to illustrate a scene from their favorite book. A total of 60 drawings and one shadow box were entered. There were five age categories. All submitted artwork is on display at the library through Wednesday, July 27.
The Nodaway County Cattlemen’s Association cooked lunch for over 500 third, fourth and fifth graders April 28 and 29 at the Northwest Technical School’s Safety Acres. The Maryville Garden Club will hold a plant and bake sale from 7 to 11 am, Saturday, May 7 at the Nodaway County Senior Center, 1210 East First Street, Maryville. There will be vegetable plants, daylilies, hostas, shrubs, annuals and perennials.
The Maryville Spoofhounds hosted the 2022 MEC track championships May 3. The boys team earned the championship with 209 points while the girls team finished fourth with 117 points.
