AL holds breakfast

The American Legion Post #528 will hold a freewill donation breakfast from 8 am to noon, Sunday, June 4 at the AL Post in Parnell. The menu includes pancakes, biscuits and gravy, eggs made to order, bacon, sausage, coffee and orange juice.

WN FFA holds breakfast

The West Nodaway FFA Breakfast will be held 8 am to noon, Sunday, June 4 at the Burlington Jct. American Legion Hall. There will be pancakes, biscuits and gravy, potatoes, sausage and scrambled eggs at the freewill donation breakfast.

David Bell 

David R. Bell, 76, died Monday, May 29, 2023. He graduated from Northwest Missouri State University, Maryville. Mr. Bell served his country as a Navy corpsman during the Vietnam War. There are no services planned at Mr. Bell’s request. A private family gathering will be held at a later date.

James Lyle Hefner, 84, Maryville, died Saturday, May 20, 2023, at the Maryville Living Center, Maryville. He was born October 26, 1938, in Maitland, to Floyd L. and Gladys K. Wile Hefner.
