On December 15, three Nodaway County seniors signed to play softball in 2017 at two community colleges.

Macie Bohannon, Nodaway-Holt senior, signed a letter of intent to play softball at North Central Community College, Trenton. Those who witnessed the signing were, front: Amanda Bohannon, sister; Ray Bohannon, father; Macie Bohannon, Tobie Bohannon, mother; Emma Bohannon, sister; back: Linda Owens, grandmother; David Carroll, Trojanettes coach; and Steve Richman, NCMC coach.

Richmond was also present for Maryville High School senior Abbie Greeley’s signing of her letter of intent to play softball at NCMC next year. Beside Abbie is her father, Gary Greeley; brother, Spencer Greeley; back: grandfather, Dick Greeley; and MHS coaches, Jennifer Stock and Chandra DeMott. Abbie will receive part of her room and board by playing for NCMC. She is undecided on her major, but her A+ scholarship will cover tuition.

Kary Kankey, Maple Woods Community College softball coach, was present for MHS senior Meghan Yarnell’s signing along with Meghan’s parents, Karin and Jason Yarnell. In back are MHS coaches Stock and DeMott. Meghan will have up to 15 credit hours per semester paid. She is undecided on her major.
