Already experiencing cabin fever? Mosaic Medical Center – Maryville and Northwest Missouri State University are joining forces once again this winter to offer an opportunity to get the family out of the house to stretch those legs and win some great prizes to promote wellbeing.
The team hopes individuals can join the fun at the Carl and Cheryl Hughes Fieldhouse on Northwest campus between 8 am and noon, Saturday, February 1 to take advantage of the climate-controlled track and wide-open infield.
The Heart & Sole Health & Fitness Fair will offer opportunities to talk to various local well-being experts about resources in the community. Carrie Freemyer and Gary Walker look forward to sharing their personal journeys to heart health. Enjoy a “Walk With a Doc,” a nationally recognized program designed to enhance doctor/patient relationships. Interested participants can join Lindsay Sheley for a yoga practice and/or Erika Jeter for Sweat, Strength and Stretch Fusion for all ages.
Thanks in part to a generous donation from Southern Bank, Mosaic – Maryville Community Outreach will be offering free cholesterol testing to the first 100 people who have been fasting for
10-12 hours. Check out the Facebook event page for a list of discounted labs offered during the event. Mosaic caregivers will also be testing respiratory functions. .
Upon completion of a wellness scavenger hunt, participants will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win one of several door prizes including an Apple watch
