Parnell AL serves breakfast

American Legion Post 528 will hold a freewill donation breakfast from 8 am to noon, Sunday, June 1 at the post in Parnell. The menu includes pancakes, biscuits and gravy, eggs made to order, bacon, sausage, coffee and orange juice.

Local schools compete at state track

Northeast Nodaway, North Nodaway, Platte Valley and Nodaway Valley all had athletes represent at the Class 1 State Championship in Jefferson City from May 23-24. Maryville competed in the Class 3 Championship during those days as well.

NCCA has Beef Cook-Off

The Nodaway County Cattlemen’s Association Beef Cook-Off will be Saturday, May 31 rain or shine. The meal will be served at 7 pm at the Mozingo Group Camp Multipurpose Building located in the northeast part of the lake. It is open to the public.
