The Nodaway Valley Thunder football team ended the regular season with a 22-6 loss to South Holt.
Runners from Nodaway Valley and Platte Valley participated in the West Platte Invitational October 16 at Platte Ridge Park. Thunder sophomore Riley Blay finished first in the boy’s race with a time of 16:44.9.

The Maryville High School Spoofhound football team celebrates the 10th straight Highway 71 Showdown win, 42-0, against the Savannah Savages, October 15. The Spoofhounds have won 11 straight against Savannah including one playoff win.
Maryville High School Spoofhound Football jumped out to an early lead during the October 8 Homecoming game. Despite comeback efforts in the fourth quarter the team was unable to come out on top resulting in the 27-26 loss against Lincoln College Prep. Blake Bohannon, junior Nodaway-Valley quarterback, intercepted this pass on the two-yard-line setting up the Thunder’s first touchdown. Later in the game, Bohannon suffered a season-ending injury with a broken leg. Thunder lost to LeBlond, 20-40.
