Cross country teams from Nodaway Valley, North Nodaway and Platte Valley ran at the Mound City meet October 5. Platte Valley’s Justin Miller has taken to the cross country course this fall with much competitiveness and a time of 21:18.38.

The Maryville High School Spoofhound Girls Golf team placed third in a field of 16 teams at the Chillicothe Tournament. Cailyn Auffert holds her sixth place medal she won with a score of 92.
The WNBA Playoffs are underway with the ‘best of five’ semi-finals starting this week. The Phoenix Mercury will take on the #2 seeded Las Vegas Aces in one semi-final while the Chicago Sky play the #1 seeded Connecticut Sun in the other. There are 145 players on the twelve teams that make up the WNBA.

The Maryville High School Spoofhound Football team rolled over the Cameron Dragons, 52-0, September 24 at the Hound Pound. A Dragon ball carrier is mobbed by the Hound defense. The defense held Cameron to 38 passing yards, 16 rushing yards and 38 receiving yards.
