The Maryville Public Library, 509 North Main Street, acquires new books weekly for patron usage. Following is a partial list of new books available in January.
Some new titles in non-fiction are: “Shaken: Discovering Your True Identity in the Midst of Life’s Storms” by Tim Tebow, “Jump: Take the Leap of Faith to Achieve your Life of Abundance” by Steve Harvey, “Settle for More” by Megyn Kelly, and “A Life well played: My Stories” by Arnold Palmer.
In fiction, new titles are: “Vision in Silver” by Anne Bishop, “Honor’s Flight” and “Star Nomad” by Lindsay Buroker, “Moonglow: a Novel” by Michael Chabon, “The Stranger” by Harlan Coben, “The Education of Dixie Dupree” by Donna Everhart, “An Aurora Teagarden Mystery: All the Little Liars” by Charlaine Harris, “Died Innocent” by Don Nothstine, “Vampire Chronicles: Prince Lestat and the Realms of Atlantis” by Anne Rice, “The Seventh Plague: a Sigma Force Novel” by James Rollins and “Hero” by RA Salvatore.
If a book is checked, patrons may request being put on a waiting list for the title.
To acquire a library card, Maryville residents need to bring a photo ID and two identity documents that have their name and current address. Nodaway County residents living outside of Maryville need to bring a photo ID, two identity documents with their current address and a $38 non-resident fee, which covers their library membership for a year.
For more information, contact the library at 660.582.5281. The library hours are 9 am to 6 pm, Monday through Friday, and 9 am to 3 pm, Saturday. The library is closed on Sunday.
