Connie Ury

Connie Jo Ury, 72, Maryville, died Sunday, December 21, 2025, at Mosaic Medical Center – Maryville.

She was born June 10, 1953, to John Earl and Joan Carver in Smithville. She earned her master’s degree in education from Northwest Missouri State University, Maryville.

Mrs. Ury spent 30 years of her professional life as a reference librarian at the same institution, where she touched the lives of countless students and colleagues. She served as a pastor for 17 years at the United Methodist Church of Graham and Maitland.

She was an active member of her community, having been a former member of the Beta Sigma Phi Social Sorority and an advisor for the Alpha Omega Pi Sorority at Northwest.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory and the indelible mark she left on the world.
