The Tri-C area of Conception Jct., Clyde and Conception turned out for the September 7 Lollipop parade which was followed by the Parish Carnival held on the Conception Abbey grounds. With perfect temperatures for the day, 4-H members wait for the parade and activities to begin.

Maryville council nods to stormwater improvement amendments 

The Maryville City Council met September 8 and approved two amendments for the Maryville/Northwest Stormwater Improvement project. On December 23, 2024, the city accepted a construction bid from VF Anderson Builders, Harrisonville. UPD encourages campus community to use HazAdapt mobile app, be prepared when crisis occurs

A new smartphone application is available to the Northwest Missouri State University community to help students, employees and campus visitors become better prepared when a crisis arises. The free app, “HazAdapt,” provides step-by-step safety instructions for more than 60 different hazards, including cases of severe weather, fire, assault or an active shooter, among other threats.

UMC hosts fish, chicken fry in Parnell

The Parnell United Methodist Church will host a fish and chicken fry from 11 am to 1:30 pm, Sunday, September 14. There will be white pollock fish, deep fried chicken, baked potatoes, cole slaw, baked beans, corn, green beans, hot rolls, desserts and drink. It is a freewill offering. The church basement is handicapped accessible.
