Northwest student arrested after armed robbery hoax

Northwest Missouri State University Police arrested a student today for filing a false police report of armed robbery.

Teoz Mauney was arrested and confessed that he falsely reported the armed robbery after evidence was collected and he was interviewed.

Mauney reported the robbery on September 3 alleging three suspects demanded money and a gun was displayed.

A probable cause statement has been filed by Nodaway County Prosecuting Attorney Robert Rice, however, no arraignment date has been set yet.
